Getting started
Do I need to download anything?
No. Umingle runs in your browser on phones and computers. On a phone you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app.
Do I need an account? How do I log in?
You can start as a guest. Sign in with Google or with your email when you want to keep your coins, follows and messages across devices. A guest account that was never linked can't be recovered after you clear your browser data.
Can I chat without my camera?
Matches and calls on Umingle are video, so they need your camera on. Messages don't — you can write to people you have met without a camera at all.
Banned on Umingle?
Why was my account banned?
Accounts are banned when they break the community guidelines — most often for explicit content on camera, harassment, a fake camera (a still picture or a black screen in a video match), advertising, or being under 18. Most bans start with a report from the person on the other side, and reports are reviewed by people, together with the part of the chat they are about.
How long does an Umingle ban last?
Not every ban is permanent. Some are temporary and end on their own after a while; serious or repeated breaks of the guidelines end in removal, and a removed account stays removed. How long a temporary ban lasts depends on what happened, so there is no single answer — but anything involving a person under 18 is always a removal.
How do I get unbanned on Umingle?
If your ban is temporary, waiting it out is enough — you don't need to do anything. If your account was removed, or you think either was a mistake, ask for a review. Write to support from the email address on your account (or say which Google account you signed in with), tell us roughly when it happened, and explain why you think the ban was wrong. A person reads every request and looks at the reported part of the chat. A review doesn't guarantee the account comes back, and there is no shortcut around it.
Can I pay to get unbanned?
No. Coins pay for calls and VIP is a membership — neither lifts a ban or speeds up a review, and a review only looks at what happened. If someone offers to unban your Umingle account for money, it isn't us: don't pay, and never give anyone your login.
Banned for being under 18 — but you're an adult?
Accounts that look like they belong to someone under 18 are removed straight away; that is a rule we don't bend. If the account is yours and you are 18 or older, write to support from the email on the account (or name the Google account you used) and say so. A person looks at it and decides.
I think I was banned for no reason
Mistakes are possible, and a ban you can't explain is exactly what a review is for. If you don't know what the report was about, say so in your request — a person looks into it. Bans for a "fake camera" are worth checking first: a camera pointed at the ceiling or a frozen picture can look like one.
Can I just make a new account?
No. An account removed for breaking the rules stays removed, and signing up again to get around a removal is itself a reason to remove the new account.
Banned somewhere else?
A ban can only be reviewed by the service that issued it. Umingle support can look at accounts on umingle.link.
Camera, sound and connection
The other person can't see or hear me
- Check that your browser may use the camera and microphone for umingle.link — the camera or lock icon in the address bar.
- Close other apps or tabs that might be using the camera.
- Move to a steadier connection; Wi-Fi is usually better than a weak mobile signal.
- Reload the page, or try another up-to-date browser.
Why can't I press Next yet?
In a call, Next becomes available after a short countdown. When it ends, Next takes you straight to someone new. If the other person leaves first, Umingle matches you again on its own.
Coins and payments
Is Umingle free?
Signing up is free. New accounts usually get some free video matches — the Match tab shows how many are left. After that, calls use coins.
How much does a call cost?
Each call has its own price, shown in the app. A notice appears in the call before billing starts, so you are never charged without seeing it.
My coins have not arrived
Confirmation from the payment provider can take a moment, so check your wallet again shortly. If they are still missing, see contact and keep your payment receipt handy.
Safety and your account
Someone made me uncomfortable
End the call or tap Next — no reason needed. You can report them right in the call, or afterwards from their profile, your chat or their live room — and, if you want, block them. A block takes effect at once; you can undo it later from your block list.
Can I delete my account?
Yes — from your account settings, or by asking support. The privacy policy explains what is kept after deletion and why.
